ADNOC confirms Abu Dhabi fuel station fees

Motorists have to pay to have an attendant fill up their tanks

Abu Dhabi motorists will play Dhs10 to have a fuel attendant fill up their cars, it’s been confirmed.
Fuel giants Adnoc first mooted plans to charge for the service in April, but it has taken some time to iron out the exact details.
But the charge will be applicable from June 30, the company announced yesterday (June 26).
Motorists will have the option to fill up for themselves without the help of an attendant, which will not cost extra.
The premium and self-serve services will be rolled out to other stations in the country in the coming weeks.
When the news was announced, some motorists expressed fears they did not know how to fill their own fuel tanks or that the Abu Dhabi heat would make the process uncomfortable.
But others said they were used to doing it for themselves in their home countries across the world.

Adnoc will be providing Smart Tags free of charge for the first 200,000 motorists in a bid to simplify the changes.
