Ain Dubai to open on October 21

World’s largest observation wheel has the city in a spin

Ain Dubai will officially open on Thursday October 21.

The colossal observation wheel, the tallest of its kind on the planet at 250m, is one of the most hotly-anticipated attractions in Dubai’s history – but the wait to ride is almost over for excited members of the public.

Time Out has already completed a revolution aboard the towering Bluewaters Dubai super structure, and you can read our first-ride review of Ain Dubai by clicking here. (Spoiler: our jaw is still on the floor).

Ain Dubai’s 48 cabins hold a maximum of ten passengers, and there’s a different vessel for each occasion, be it a pulling-out-all-the-stops birthday bash, dinner in the clouds or casual ride.

The Celebrate & Dine in the Sky package includes a three-course mezze feast with waiting staff on hand, while the Celebrate Ain Dubai Plus ticket covers a range of house, sparkling and bubbly beverage packages (access to cabin for over 21s only), as well as a private bartender to help keep the good times flowing.

You can even tie the knot at Ain Dubai after it official opens next month, with wedding packages among a bursting catalogue of offers.

Back on terra firma Ain Dubai’s Seaview Lounge is a sweet spot to talk about what is a smoother than smooth ride, but the best action is very much at the top.

Ain Dubai’s observation windows provide unobstructed views of the JBR skyline, the Palm and, from the very top, the Burj Khalifa.

And if the city lights aren’t your thing (first off, why not?) from the wheel’s peak you can spy a never-ending Arabian Gulf running all the way to the horizon.

It takes approximately 38 minutes to complete a full cycle of Ain Dubai, and with ceiling to floor frames for your snaps, you can bank on some envious glances on the ‘gram.

Just a few more weeks to wait, people. Get Thursday October 21 marked in your calendar, now.
