Following the news of the reduced hours for the National Sterilisation Programme in Abu Dhabi, bars across the capital are reopening their doors.
Having remained shut since March in order to stop the spread of COVID-19, bars in the city – as well as malls, hotel facilities and restaurants, have gradually been reopening in the past couple of weeks as movement restrictions in Abu Dhabi were eased.
Over the weekend, the city’s curfew was reduced by two hours and now runs from 10pm to 6am. As a result, nightlife venues are now permitted to reopen as long as they follow precautionary measures set by the government including social distancing and adhere to shorter opening hours.
