New McGettigan's brunch launching in Abu Dhabi this month

Looking for a new brunch in Abu Dhabi? There’s a new McGettigan’s brunch launching soon. If you’re searching for some good Irish fun in the capital, the McG big table brunch looks like just the ticket.

McGettigan’s Abu Dhabi is launching its first-ever Saturday brunch on Saturday May 14. Gather up your best mates and get ready for a buzzy brunch.

The McG big table brunch is happening every Saturday from 12.30pm to 4pm with original classic dishes and the chef’s creations including starter plates, soup, mains and desserts. There’s also a selection of hops, sparkling and house drinks. The new brunch at McGettigan’s costs Dhs199 per person with beverage upgrade options starting from Dhs120.

Wondering what’s on the menu? Brunch begins with volcanic popcorn popped with black truffle air (anyone else intrigued?) and swiftly moves into the sharing mains. These include a seafood platter on ice with Irish salmon, lobster, native oysters, crab, shrimp and West Cork mussels.

There’s also smoked lamb chorizo with poached egg, country bread and grilled asparagus; hand cut angus beef tartare with crisp potato cakes and chicken wings.

The soup course is a New England seafood chowder, followed by calamari, chicken tikka samosas, angus beef sliders with brie and baked pretzel rings with hops and cheese dip.

Don’t forget to leave room for the main course, which is your choice of McGettigan’s beef wellington with roast veggies; duck confit with braised cabbage or pan-seared salmon with dill potatoes.

If you can manage it, the new brunch at McGettigan’s ends with a dessert trolley. Tuck into Irish apple cake with warm custard, cheesecake, chocolate pot de crème, Eton mess, lemon chiffon pie and warm churros with chocolate sauce. We’re waddling just thinking about it.
