See the film for free this week on YouTube

On November 11, Louvre Abu Dhabi will celebrate its third anniversary.

To mark the occasion the UAE landmark is releasing a short film.

The Pulse of Time, which you can watch for free, is a 40-minute movie that brings the story of humanity to life by exploring artworks from the museum’s collection.

Premiering on the museum’s YouTube channel, the audio-visual film takes viewers through the 12 chapters of Louvre Abu Dhabi’s galleries and explores 15 artworks.

You can watch the film premiere at 7pm in Arabic, at 8pm in English and 9pm in French by clicking here.

The film is narrated in Arabic by Emirati actor and producer Saoud Al Kaabi, in English by actor Charles Dance and in French by Swiss actress Irene Jacob.

The film will then be available to stream for free on Louvre Abu Dhabi’s website from November 12.

“This immersive digital experience encapsulates the current moment as the museum reflects on its third year anniversary,” said Manuel Rabaté, director of Louvre Abu Dhabi.

“The film animates the galleries and objects on view, for an awakening of the imagination that audiences may experience from anywhere in the world.

“This marks a new era of original, digital commissions living side-by-side with traditional, physical exhibitions.

“The film’s languages and collaborators represent the museum space itself as a crossroads for intercultural connection.”
