Louvre Abu Dhabi acquires new masterpieces

And we can’t wait to check them out

There’s always something new and exciting to see at Louvre Abu Dhabi and if you’re looking for another reason to pay the stunning Saadiyat Island  museum a visit, we have the one for you.

It’s just been announced that Louvre Abu Dhabi has some all-new acquisitions and loans that span the globe and nearly 25 centuries. Wow.

Newly acquired pieces include the works of world-renowned artist Marc Chagall, while The Centre Pompidou has loaned pieces from Henri Matisse and Francis Bacon.

Known for his raw imagery, the works of Irish-born British figurative painter Francis Bacon still retain their capacity to unsettle today while French artist Henri Matisse’s pieces are full of colour and fluidity.

Russian-French Marc Chagall is associated with a number of different artistic styles and all the new pieces on show at Louvre Abu Dhabi are set to impress arty types in the capital and beyond.

The global headline-grabbing museum also has a massive collection of historical artefacts and there’s more to see than you can savour on one visit.
