Abu Dhabi Art is opening this weekend

There are over 600 works to see from 190 artists

If there is one art event in Abu Dhabi that you can’t miss, it’s Abu Dhabi Art. The massive fair is returning in person from Thursday November 18 to Sunday November 21 with a diverse line-up of 49 galleries from around the world.

Tickets are Dhs55 for all five days and you’ll need a 96-hour negative PCR test to enter. Kids, students, people of determination and senior citizens get in for free.

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT – Abu Dhabi), the fair represents more than 190 artists from around the world and presents over 600 artworks. There are 14 new galleries joining this year, including those from Colombia, France, Hong Kong, India and more. It is truly the artistic event of the season, and it’s one that we look forward to every year.

There are curated sections of the fair that you absolutely have to see, including Kind of Blue curated by Simon Njami; the Performing Arts Programme curated by Rose Lejeune, and the Beyond: Emerging Artists programme, curated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath.

Every year Abu Dhabi Art stuns the global art market with its works and curation. Artists, critics, collectors and people of the artistic persuasion fly in to see what’s new and hot on the market. The event is not just an opportunity to buy artwork from global galleries, it also features ambitious installations and site-specific work.

There’s more happening this month at Manarat Al Saadiyat, including the return of Boogie Box. This massive house and techno party has a stellar anniversary event happening at Manarat Al Saadiyat on Thursday November 25. We hear there will be dancing. Get ready to boogie after you get your fill of the art.
