This chocolate explosion of a cake is a hit on Instagram thanks to its tribute to the movie Matilda. The chocolate cake is made up of a rich chocolate sponge, chocolate ganache and chocolate flakes. It’s a little messy, but so worth it. Upgrade to a larger slice for Dhs210 that feeds up to three.

Nutella chocolate cake at Brunch & Cake
The cakes (as well as everything on the menu) at Brunch & Cake are beautiful. And this Nutella chocolate cake is equally decadent thanks to a whole lot of chocolate: The chocolate sponge is covered in chocolate-hazelnut frosting then topped with Ferrero Rocher crumble. Yes, Ferrero Rocher.

Dark chocolate tart at Alba Terrace
This is exactly what a chocolate tart should be: decadent, rich and something you want to dig into as soon as it arrives in front of you. This dark chocolate version is paired with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios and pistachio ice cream for a pop of colour.

Vegan chocolate cake at Guilt-Free Pâtisserie
If you’re a fan of chocolate, this dessert is for you, whether you’re vegan or not. The soft chocolate cake is covered with a vegan chocolate mousse and coated with yet more chocolate. If the chocolate disc didn’t tell you, you wouldn’t know its plant-based.

Palace cake at Le Café at Emirates Palace
Now this is a work of delicious chocolate art with a chocolate cake, milk chocolate mousse and even chocolate jelly. Because this is Emirates Palace we’re talking about, it’s 23K gold chocolate and there’s salted gold caramel. Who’s fancy now?
