Feeling the pinch at the mo? Enjoy yourself a little too much over the Eid holidays? Determined to make this month’s pay cheque last that little bit longer?
What you need is a brilliant meal out, but without spending very much at all.
Get yourselves down to Time Out Market Dubai and enjoy delicious dishes from all 18 vendors for under Dhs50.
With items from 21Grams, Reif Kushiyaki, Fulvio’s and SLAB cocina, these dishes under Dhs50 are stonkingly good value.
Check out these delicious dishes under Dhs50 from 18 of Dubai’s best homegrown restaurants, all at Time Out Market Dubai.
21grams balkan bakery & Deli
Whatever you’re eating at 21Grams you’ll want to start with some dips and pita. Red pepper relish Ajvari (Dhs32) and red hot chilli cheese Urnebes (Dhs28) are two of our top picks.
Al Fanar Restaurant
It wouldn’t be the first Middle Eastern Time Out Market without regional flavours. If you fancy trying traditional Emirati dessert, go for the luqaimat (Dhs28) – fried dough balls drizzled with date syrup.
BB Social Dining
Baos, bites, bowls, barbecue (and sandos) are the backbone of the all-star line-up at Time Out Market. Right now it’s all about the cauliflower cheese katsu sando (Dhs45), crammed with truffle and caramelised onions. Drool.
Boon coffee
One of four new vendors, Boon specialises in premium organic Ethiopian coffee. The perfect pairing for its avocado toast (Dhs44), which with labneh and dried fruits is officially one of the best in the city.
Fulvio’s Kitchen’s
An Italian concept from Fulvio Opalio, who heads up some of Dubai’s most awarded Italian restaurants. Try the panzerotto with truffle and mascarpone (Dhs30) for a totally indulgent, absolutely bargainous treat.
Lana Lusa
Also new to Time Out Market, this is authentic Portuguese fare you need to try. If you’re in a savoury mood, try the prego (Dhs45), a traditional Portuguese beef sandwich, or if you fancy something sweeter, pick up a pastel de nata, or three (Dhs13 each).
Liban by Allo beirut
If you’ve a hankering for superb street food then this spot from the team behind Allo Beirut is for you. Keep it simple with a freshly made akkawi saj (Dhs20) for an unforgettable cheese pull at Time Out Market.
Long Teng
One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in town, dim sum flies out of the kitchen at Long Teng, Time Out Market. Our picks? Crystal prawn dumplings (Dhs38), packed full under the delicate dough.
Masti
Dishes at funky Indian joint Masti are made with a barrel-load of fun and creativity. Right now, it doesn’t get much more fusion-fabulous than the tuna ceviche pani puri (Dhs45).
Mattar
Dubai’s first proper smokehouse, this is one eatery you don’t want to miss. It also caters for veggies, with a cracking mac & cheese (Dhs35).
Pickl
Pickl is about the burgers. And fries. One of the classics is the chicken sando (Dhs38) with potato bun, lettuce, dill pickles and comeback sauce. You’ll be amazed at the size of it.
Pitfire
Pitfire’s perfectly blistered, pillowy pies stand out from the crowd, but we can’t order from here without also getting on our hands on the garlic knots (Dhs32), baked to order, dripping with garlic butter and even better with added garlic mayo.
Reif Japanese Kushiyaki
Head here for Reif Othman’s magnificent, much-talked about dishes. Let the name lead you and try the chicken kushiyaki (Dhs45) – skewers of chicken breast and yuzu miso. Man alive.
Scoopi Café
Scoopi doesn’t serve up standard ice cream – it’s all cooled with liquid nitrogen. Our current fave? The salted caramel with popcorn (Dhs45).
SLAB cocina
New and serving up a medley of Latin American flavours, do not miss SLAB cocina. Whatever you’re eating, add a bowl of the corn fritters (Dhs45). They’ll be gone in minutes.
The Lighthouse – Pastry and Dessert
Sometimes only a sweet treat will do, and this newcomer has them in abundance. Try the pistachio eclair (Dhs29).
Vietnamese Foodies
Few things pack as much swagger as the avocado wasabi prawns (Dhs36) from this authentic eatery. One you’re unlikely to share.
