As a city by the sea it should come as no surprise that Abu Dhabi has some fantastic seafood restaurants.

Enjoying fresh seafood, caught locally and cooked to perfection is one of life’s most enjoyable dining experiences.

Ready to tuck into fresh seafood?

Try these three Time Out recommended venues.

Catch

Seafood restaurant Catch has one of the most beautiful dining rooms we’ve ever been in, and we’ve been lucky enough to visit some pretty special ones doing this job. It’s light, nautical themed and very stylishly done. It overlooks the pristine beach at Nation Riviera so we can gaze at the blue waters of the Gulf from our spot by the window. Flooka

Looking over the Eastern Mangroves National Park, the outdoor terrace at Flooka is one of the most picturesque spots in Abu Dhabi. It means that during the cooler months, the wide platform is always packed with people, and you’ll be lucky to get a table near the water’s edge. It’s a tranquil setting for a meal, and the menu features Lebanese plates and seafood, plus some dishes (such as the hummus with diced fish) that manage to mix the two themes. Simitch

The long, hot summer is behind us as we write this, making it the perfect time of year to try Simitch, which has a lovely terrace that’s just made for winter in Abu Dhabi. The Lebanese seafood restaurant has a picturesque setting at Abu Dhabi’s Marina Village, on the breakwater off the Corniche and looking back towards the city’s skyline across the waters of the Arabian Gulf. Etihad Towers and Emirates Palace in the backdrop make for quite the view (and Instagram opportunity) as you eat. To read the full review click here.
