Popular Dubai restaurant The Lighthouse is heading to the UAE capital in 2021.
The cool home-grown restaurant will have space for 145 diners when it opens later this year in Abu Dhabi.
The Lighthouse is due to open up at a new pitch at Yas Bay Waterfront, which is set to be home to loads of cool bars and restaurants this year.
The Lighthouse will join top names including Asia Asia and La Carnita at exciting new the new Yas Island complex.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – The Lighthouse will have a menu packed with Mediterrane-an-style classics.
Dishes on the menu at the original d3 Dubai branch include tuna tartare, grilled aubergine, beef tar-tare, burrata, baked feta, Greek salad, fried calamari, grilled chicken souvlaki, minute steak sand-wich, truffle rigatoni, grilled sea bass, grilled lamb cutlets, saffron milk cake, sticky toffee pudding, brownies and more – so we’re expecting tasty things from this brand-new spot when it opens.
The Lighthouse is also known for its pastries, so fingers crossed for a range of croissants, pain au chocolat, cinnamon rolls and more.
The Lighthouse’s name is inspired by the Virginia Woolf novel, To The Lighthouse, and how she used to meet her Bloomsbury Group fellows over breakfast and lunch, making dining a social occa-sion, as well as being a nod to the Lighthouse of Alexandria. And the concept is not only a restau-rant but a shop too, so expect a range of accessories, gifts and more to buy from The Lighthouse.
