New hot dog specialist Seven Dawgs opens in Abu Dhabi

It’s another new addition for the city’s up-and-coming foodie district

Introducing Abu Dhabi’s new house of hot dogs: Seven Dawgs.

This home-grown restaurant was founded in the heart of Abu Dhabi and serves up gourmet halal hot dogs at Sheikha Fatima Park: an up-and-coming culinary community downtown.

All the hot dogs are themed around a different superhero, so you can unleash your imagination while you chow. We can’t wait to sink our teeth into all the different franks on offer.

The Seven

Featuring a classic beef hotdog, ketchup, mustard, sweet relish, and a fried dill pickle on top in a soft bun, this dawg is a simple but elegant for Dhs25.

The Architect

A breaded beef corn dog drizzled with cheese, hammer sauce, and fried onion plus a tempura fried jalapeno on top. Cheesy and spicy – can you ask for more? Dhs39.

Professor Volcanico

If you’re looking for an explosive hotdog, this might be the one for you. The “Professor Volcanico” features a beef hotdog, cheese, “volcanic” habanero spicy sauce, pico de gallo salsa, and potato crisps, all tucked into a bun. Yum. Grab one for Dhs29.

You’ll find four other hotdogs on the menu, including the “Miss Rose” vegan hotdog with vegan cheese, miss rose’s beetroot sauce, and vegan slaw with potato bread or vegan bread for Dhs29. The “Ga’naas” features a chicken hotdog tossed in buffalo hot sauce, potato flakes, coleslaw and Ga’naas sauce for Dhs29.

The “Captain Higgs” includes a beef hotdog, higgsy truffle sauce, French fries with cheese and onion for Dhs31. Finally, the “Hyperion” is a chili beef hotdog with cheese, onion, and tempura onion rings plus salsa for Dhs33.

If you’re hoping for something sweet to go with your hotdog, Seven Dawgs also serves soft ice cream for Dhs20 and milkshakes for Dhs25.

If you’re jonesing for a dawg but maybe not a hot-dawg, Seven Dawgs also serves corn dogs, including the “Classic Corndawg” with seven sauce for Dhs19.

Let’s be frank, there’s nothing better than a new restaurant serving exciting dishes with laid-back vibes. Sounds like this summer it’ll be suns out, hot dog buns out.

Sat-Wed 2pm-midnight; Thurs-Fri 2pm-2am. Sheikha Fatima Park, Al Bateen (02 645 7733).
