Partner content: Guida’s first restaurant outside of Italy

Talea by Antonio Guida is Abu Dhabi’s latest Italian restaurant bringing classical dishes from across Italy to the UAE. The menu features a curated selection of authentic Italian dishes with famous ravioli, handcrafted carbonara, artisanal pizza and more to enjoy.

Chef Guida is the head of the two Michelin-starred restaurant: Seta at Mandarin Oriental, Milan. He is joined at Talea by his Executive Sous Chef Federico dell’Omarino; while Luigi Stinga, Guida’s protégé, presides over the latest dining establishment. The dining destination features an elegant and casual atmosphere with a view of the sea, glass-panelled show kitchen, grape and live entertainment.

Talea is Guida’s first restaurant outside of Italy. Guida honed his talents in an array of Michelin-starred restaurants including the Pierre Gagnaire in Paris, Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence and Don Alfonso on the Amalfi Coast. He has collected Michelin stars through his career, including leading Seta to its first Michelin star just four months after opening.

Aside from stunning pastas and pizzas, the menu also includes fresh salads, antipasti, creamy burratas, ossobuco – stewed veal shanks in meat sauce, and vitello tonnato – the summer dish of chilled veal in tuna-caper sauce. Dessert-lovers can enjoy classic tiramisu, petit fours and more. If it’s drinks you’re after, the beverages section boasts an array of Italian classics served with rich espressos and Bialetti-brewed mochas plus rare grape and exciting mixed drinks.

Inside you’ll find two-toned slotted columns and walls inspired by the landscapes of Italy. The expansive arches create a sliver of Italian splendor in a warm and minimalist setting. The bar seats 14 and indoor dining accommodates 52 people plus an 18-seat private dining room and 56-seat al fresco terrace. Simply put, this new spot is a showstopper and a must-visit when in Abu Dhabi.
