Sign up to a virtual education fair in the UAE

Students can learn about opportunities to study abroad

Kids see themselves furthering their education somewhere like London, Dublin, Sydney or even Wellington? The Virtual Study Abroad Expo 2021 is coming back to the UAE.

Students can sign up to a virtual education expo that is headed to the UAE that will help them make important decisions about their future.

The two-day event, which is being held on Friday March 5 and Saturday March 6, is aimed at helping students from the UAE select their further education choices abroad.

Representatives from more than 100 of the world’s leading universities and higher education institutions from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and more, will be on hand to answer any burning questions and to offer advice.

The Study Abroad Expo, hosted by IDP Education, happens twice a year, and pre-pandemic was hosted as a physical exhibition where students could visit and explore higher education options across several countries all in one venue.

Now the expo has been taken online, but still offers students and parents the same opportunity to interact directly with university representatives online from all over the globe without having to travel.

Students can access loads of important information and support from guidance on which course to choose and how to do their university applications to getting assistance with booking their accommodation and will also be able to virtually explore campuses and meet the staff.

Country director of IDP Education, Rashi Bhattacharya, said: “Last year we hosted our first virtual Study Abroad Expo, and like many things during 2020, we were uncertain about the response and how our students of the future would respond due to the over flow of virtual events taking place and the circumstances of travel. But despite the pandemic, and ongoing travel restrictions, we saw over 5,000 students from across the UAE and Oman register for the virtual event and show interest in studying abroad. From the last virtual expo, we noticed that the quality of students who had attended were significant from previous years, meaning more received and held offers from top universities.

“With the help of IDP Education they were able to go ahead with their plans to study abroad, even if this meant they had to start online due to border restrictions. However, as we are here to help them navigate the ongoing updates for travel and studying, we are working closely with the contacts from the government offices to keep our students most up to date. We also have our virtual office available on our website to stay connected with them,” he added.

Their future is looking very bright.
