Sting is the latest in a string of major musical stars on their way to play the UAE.
The former Police frontman will perform at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena, in Yas Island, on Thursday March 14.
The good news was bolstered with a second announcement that Rush Hour star Chris Tucker will perform two nights of stand-up comedy at neighbouring du Forum, on Thursday February 28 and Friday March 1.
The news is the latest in a string of major acts confirmed to play the UAE in coming months. Last week it was revealed that Bruno Mars is to play Dubai Media City on Friday April 12, while a week later Metallica are returning to du Arena on Friday April 19.
Meanwhile hype has been building for months over Justin Bieber’s regional debut, to take place at The Sevens Stadium on Saturday May 4.
