Abu Dhabi named safest city in the world

The UAE capital has ranked as the most secure city

It’s very easy to feel relaxed and at ease in Abu Dhabi.

But it turns out there’s a very good reason for this, as data has revealed that the capital is actually the safest city in the world.

Out of 300 other places, including Tokyo, Japan, Basel, Munich and Vienna, the UAE’s capital topped the list.

The findings came from Numbeo, an online database that estimates overall safety levels in cities throughout the world.

Abu Dhabi has come top of the website’s safest cities list for the second year in a row.

HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, said: “Safety is paramount when choosing a city to visit or live and work in and we are proud to be the top of the list for the second year running. Our capital’s strong reputation for safety and a virtually crime-free society is a testament to the ongoing efforts to establish the Emirate as a destination of distinction with international standards of safety.”
