New dining, entertainment and wellness hub to open in Abu Dhabi

Al Qana will launch in 2020 and contain the Middle East’s largest aquarium, waterside restaurants and more

We’re already spoilt for choice here in Abu Dhabi when it comes to places to eat and brilliant things to do.

But things are about to get even better.

Al Qana is a new dining and entertainment destination which is due to open in 2020, and the recently revealed plans for the waterfront project in Khor Al Maqta look very exciting indeed.

Spanning over 2.4km of scenic and picturesque waterfront walkways, the area will contain brilliant eateries, a cinema, the Middle East’s largest aquarium, a yacht marina, wellness hub, kids’ action zone, outdoor skatepark, and much more.

The development is a collaboration between Al Barakah International Investment (BII) and Abu Dhabi Municipality, and the BII have announced that the project is progressing as planned and on track to open next winter.

Moataz Mashal, Managing Director of Al Barakah International Investment said: “In line with the capital’s vision for 2030, this new landmark destination will play a key role in supporting the government to realise its vision of enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as one the world’s most popular destinations for business, leisure, lifestyle and entertainment.

“Al Qana will offer a new lifestyle for residents through exciting dining destinations and convenient facilities, whilst also being an attractive place for tourists to visit, in close proximity to many of the most famous landmarks in the capital.”

The opening can’t come around quick enough.
