Brazil and South Korea to play glamour friendly in Abu Dhabi next month

Football superstars will play in the capital

Football is big in the UAE and with the FIFA World Club Cup over the last two years Real Madrid’s superstars have been in town to put on a show.

The Brazilian national team will be in Abu Dhabi as part of their global tour to face South Korea in a glamour friendly.

The match, to be played at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on November 19, will see some of the world’s best players come to the capital.

A full-strength Brazilian team is expected to play the match including Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar, Bayern Munich’s Coutinho, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and more.

Among the South Korean team are stars including Tottenham hotspur’s Son Heung-Min, Red Bull Salzburg’s Hwang Hee-chan and Valencia’s Lee Kang-in.

Ticket prices are yet to be announced and they are expected to go on sale in the coming days.

“Abu Dhabi is an epicentre of world-class sport and continues to host diverse high-profile sporting events every year,” said Aref Hamad Al Awani, general secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

“The Brazil-South Korea game will bring together some of the world’s leading stars and fan favourites to the UAE for an exciting football carnival.

“Every season, we bring to the capital some of the greatest events in sport and this game is another exciting spectacle that will bring together communities of all ages, genders and nationalities in celebration of football and the UAE’s Year of Tolerance.”
