The latest update on Abu Dhabi’s Dhs4.4bn Reem Mall

The huge complex is scheduled to open next year

We’re not short of great places to shop in Abu Dhabi and soon there will be another huge mall where we can indulge in some retail therapy.

Reem Mall, the brand new shopping centre on Reem island, has successfully constructed the highest point in the structure.

A total of 14 tower cranes are on site with work being carried out around the clock to bring the huge structure towards completion.

In addition a total of 350,000 tonnes of concrete have now been poured across the eight-level structure.

Once completed, the 2 million square foot shopping centre will offer new retail, leisure and entertainment options for people in Abu Dhabi.

Attractions include the world’s largest snow park, a multiplex cinema, 85 food and drink outlets and 450 shops.

Reem Mall is expected to open late in the year in 2020.

“Reem Mall has witnessed continued progress over the past year and a half thanks to the hard work and dedication of the entire project team,” said Faisal Sultan, chairman of developers Al Farwaniya Property Developments.

“Seeing it reach its highest point is a truly fantastic milestone. With significant construction progress continuing on site every day, Reem Mall is visibly rising to take its place amongst the top retail, leisure and entertainment destinations in the UAE and beyond.”
