Abu Dhabi’s Qasr Al Watan announces temporary closure

The landmark will be closed for a short time

Cultural landmark Qasr Al Watan is due to close for ten days.

From November 10 the Abu Dhabi attraction will be closed to the public before reopening on November 17.

Qasr Al Watan was recently named among the best arts landmarks in the world by travel and tourism website hotelandrest.com.

A total of 149,000 unique pieces of silver, crystal and china were used in the construction of the palace that was completed in 2017.

Visitors are able to explore a host of facilities and attractions during their visit including the extensive gardens, great hall, library, visitors centre, courtyard and more.

Plus, in the evening a sound and light show brings the building to life and celebrates the culture and heritage of the UAE.

Tickets for the tours, which take place daily between 10am and 8pm, cost Dhs60 for adults and Dhs30 for children aged four to 17, with special garden-only tickets available for Dhs25 for adults and Dhs12 for children aged four to 17.
