Circ to launch e-scooters on Yas Island for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019

There’s an easy way to get around the island this year

E-scooters are popping up everywhere in Abu Dhabi – honestly we feel like we hear about new companies and locations every single day.

This weekend, Circ the e-scooter company will be launching a new fleet on Yas Island just in time for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

All you need to do is download the Circ app on iOS or Android, set up an account, load your account with credit and you’re ready to go.

There instructions and safety advice and in-app tutorials. The scooters all have comprehensive insurance, too.

Once you find a scooter you can unlock it with the app. Geofencing means you won’t be able to ride it out of a defined area and you can leave it wherever you like within the area.

They go at 20kph as a maximum and cost Dhs3 to unlock, then Dhs1 for every minute you use it.

“This is one of the busiest weekends of the year with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix taking centre stage, and by launching Circ’s services on Yas Island, we are providing visitors with a great customer experience for mobility at this year’s event,” said Jaideep Dhanoa, co-founder and CEO of Circ MENA.

“Given the large number of visitors expected for the event, our micromobility solution will help facilitate the reduction of congestion at peak hours and provide an affordable first-last mile travel option to parking and pick-up locations, along with intra-community travel to the various destinations on Yas Island.”

Plus, you can even try the handy transport for free for 15 minutes before the end of the year so we suppose the only questions is: when will you give it a go?

Sorry, got to go, we’re away for a ride.
