Abu Dhabi encourages residents to stay home by flying messages on UAE flags

The government sent a motivating message reminding the community to work from home

It’s no secret that the coronavirus pandemic has sent off a wave of uncertainty, not only Abu Dhabi, but the entire nation over the past month.

People have lost jobs, had wage cuts and had to get used to the temporary new normal of staying indoors.

So to lift the city’s morale and ensure that they are working hard to protect the nation, the government launched UAE flags carrying a special message in the skies of Abu Dhabi.

The flags read ‘dedication at work, safety at home’ and were launched by Abu Dhabi Aviation as a reminder for the community to work from home and keep others safe.

Images of the flag were posted by the Abu Dhabi Media Office’s Twitter account alongside an announcement stating that the special flag will be carried across the other Emirates in the coming days.

The encouraging initiative follows the launch of the government’s new relief fund. Struggling families in the capital can now apply to receive financial support as a special fund has been set up for parents who have lost their jobs or had their wages cut due to the global situation.
