Dubai’s Emirates has announced its plans to resume scheduled inbound and outbound passenger flights to nine destinations from Thursday May 21.
The flagship airline will initially be operating to nine destinations, which includes London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne (subject to government approval).
Along with this, Emirates will also offer connections in Dubai for customers travelling between the UK and Australia.
The airline stated that travellers will only be accepted on these flights if they meet entry criteria requirements of their destination countries.
This includes an approval from the Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship (ICA) for UAE residents looking to return to Dubai.
“We are pleased to resume scheduled passenger services to these destinations, providing more options for customers to travel from the UAE to these cities, and also between the UK and Australia,” said Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer Adel Al Redha.
“We are working closely with the authorities to plan the resumption of operations to additional destinations. We have implemented additional measures at the airport in coordination with the relevant authorities in respect to social distancing and sanitisation. The safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and communities, remain our top priority.”
All flights can be booked via www.emirates.com or through travel agents.
Along with the regular schedule of flights, Dubai’s airline will also continue operate repatriation flights for visitors and residents wishing to return home.
As for this week, the airline plans to operate flights from Dubai to Tokyo, Japan on Friday May 15, Conakry, Guinea on Friday May 16 and Dakar, Senegal on Saturday May 16.
