UAE launches a mental health hotline to support residents

The number to call if you need some help

If it’s been said once, it’s been said a million times, we’re living in unprecedented times.

Most of us are staying home and self-isolating, as we do our bit to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Being at home, day after day, whether you’ve got a big family or live alone, can take its toll and sometimes you need some mental space, especially when trying to keep a good work-life balance and take on home schooling to keep the children up to scratch with their studies.

Yoga, meditation and mindfullnesses can all help, but sometimes you need some a little extra to achieve some calm.

Helping to support residents, The UAE National Programme for Happiness and Wellbeing has announced the launch of the Mental Support Line, which offers initial psychological counselling and support provided by volunteer mental health experts, consultants and specialists.

You can use the service for free by calling 800 4673 or use WhatsApp to reach out for support.

So if you need someone to talk to, you know where to call.
