The Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has extended the deadline for residents with expired visas to leave the country.
The news was released in a Tweet from the ICA.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, ICA, issued a decision to extend the deadline for holders of expired entry permits and visas from 11th August, 2020, for one month, to enable them to leave the country and exempt them from all resulting fines.#ICA pic.twitter.com/NLrlZSHf91

From today (August 11), residents have 30 days to leave the country.
Al residents with expired residency visas will be exempt from any overstay fines for this period.
The deadline for residents to travel out of the country is now September 11.
All residents travelling in and out of the UAE require a negative COVID-19 test to board an aircraft.
