The UAE has been ranked as one of the safest countries in the world according to a new report.
According to the 2020 Global Law and Order Report by global analytics firm Gallup, the UAE was ranked in the top ten countries in the world for security and personal safety.
The UAE ranked ninth on the overall Law and Order Index behind countries including Austria, Switzerland and Singapore. Regionally, the UAE was second.
In addition, the UAE was ranked fourth for countries where people feel safe walking alone at night behind Norway, Turkmenistan and Singapore.
The data recorded by Gallup is based on a variety or parameters including confidence in the police, sense of safety when alone at night, theft and other criteria.
Results are gathered through telephone and face-to-face interviews with 1,000 adults in each country, conducted in 144 countries around the world.
Recently, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were named the top financial cities in the Middle East and Northern Africa.
Abu Dhabi and Dubai were also recently ranked in the top 15 cities in the world for financial attractiveness.
