Have you heard? New changes have come into effect today regarding in-person events in the UAE. If you’re not vaccinated yet, this might be the motivation you need to get to a vaccination centre and get your jabs.
Live sports, cultural events and exhibitions are all returning to the UAE, slowly but surely, but if you want to attend you’ll need to be fully vaccinated with the ‘E’ symbol on the Al Hosn app and a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before the time of entry.
A little while ago, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) tweeted that attending all events exhibitions, and activities will require you to be fully vaccinated as of Sunday June 6. This includes sports, cultural, social and artistic events.

The news follows some relaxed restrictions in Dubai, which has allowed for the return of brunches, live entertainment, sports and more.
In Dubai restaurants, ten diners are now allowed to share a table, and groups of six can meet in the city’s cafés.

The return of live events is just one of the many benefits of the UAE’s vigorous vaccination programme.
But you’ll now need to prove that you’re vaccinated to hit the bars.
In addition to proof of vaccination, you will also still need to continue to wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines (as is standard across the board right now).
NCEMA revealed that 66,666 doses of the vaccine had been administered in the past 24 hours, with 13,294,010 as a total number of doses and with a rate of 134.41 doses per 100 people as vaccine distribution continues.
