Street artist and DJ Alec Monopoly to perform at W Lounge on F1 Race Day

The multimedia artist will be creating a Monopoly-style masterpiece

The 2021 Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix race weekend just got a lot more colourful because multimedia artist Alec Monopoly will be DJing at W Lounge.

The international DJ and street artist was announced as the first major act performing at W Lounge in a gig hosted by The Rich List group. Alec will be spinning on December 12 from 10pm until late, for the highly anticipated Formula 1 Race Day and the grand finale to F1 weekend, which goes from December 9 to 12.

The New York City-based artist will be creating one of his signature Monopoly-style artworks at the venue. How’s that for multitasking? Those who want to see the masterpiece being made while enjoying some stomping beats can reserve a table at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix party, Dhs7,000 minimum spend.

Alec Monopoly is the alias of the artist, who has worked across Asia, Europe and the United States in varying mediums and is recognisable for his signature Mr. Monopoly mascot and cartoonish, colourful style.

The W Hotel in Yas Island is where much of the F1 fun will be happening – the hotel is located right next to the iconic track afterall.

W Lounge will also host a jungle-themed party, Wanderlust, with DJs including DJ Morad, DJ Kristina and DJ Smookinggroove with live music, food and drinks happening from December 10 to December 12.

Looking for more Formula 1 weekend music? There are four major headliners at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam post-race concerts: Lewis Capaldi, Khalid, Stormzy and Foo Fighters. Scottish singer-songwriter Capaldi and American R&B singer Khalid were revealed as the first two headlining acts in September, followed by rapper Stormzy and rockstars Foo Fighters in November.
