Grammy-award winning American cellist Yo-Yo Ma is set to be the first international act, with a concert starting at 8.45pm at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre.

He’ll be followed by another Grammy awardee, Norah Jones, who will take to the Jubilee Stage from 9pm.

Popstar Christina Aguilera will perform at 10.45pm, also on the Jubilee stage.

They follow in the footsteps of multiple international musicians and bands to have performed at Expo 2020 over the past six months, including Coldplay, the Black Eyed Peas and Jason Derulo, who performed live last night.

A host of local performers will also be part of the Expo 2020 closing ceremony, with a UAE-based children’s choir and the all-women Firdaus Orchestra performing the UAE national anthem.

Volunteers from 56 different countries will join with professionals to make up a cast of more than 400 in performances planned for the closing ceremony.

There will also be concerts from the Expo 2020 World String Ensemble and Italian pianist Eleonora Constantini, as well as an opening act from the young Emirati girl who launched Expo back on October 1, 2021.

There will be multiple epic fireworks displays on March 31, including shows at midnight and 3am, as Dubai’s bids farewell to its greatest show.

If you can’t make it in person, catch all the action on the Expo TV and Virtual Expo live streams.

It looks set to be the party of the year.
