FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets go on sale today

Football fans, have your debit cards at the ready, because FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets are set to go on sale today.

From 2pm, you will be able to apply for tickets as part of the random selection draw sales period on the FIFA website.

Only after this period ends will you find out if you have been successful in securing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets.

Those who have been successful, or partially successful, will be notified over email and given further information about payment.

There are four categories of tickets, the cheapest of which will be reserved exclusively for Qatar residents.

Prices range from QR40 for category 4 tickets to group matches, right up to QR5,850 for category one tickets for the final at Lusail Stadium.

You can also book team specific series tickets, or four stadium series tickets. The full details can be found on the FIFA website here.

Each household can buy up to six tickets per match, and up to 60 tickets throughout the tournament.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is set to take place between Monday November 21 and Sunday December 18.

It will be the first World Cup tournament held in the Middle East, and 32 teams are set to take part.

So far, 13 teams have qualified – Germany, Denmark, Brazil, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland, Netherlands and Argentina.

As the host country, Qatar has also automatically qualified for the tournament.

For fans coming from abroad, Qatar Airways has also released a number of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 travel packages that include tickets.

You can choose from options including the support your team package, which includes four matches in the groups stages, with prices starting from US$6,950 per person, or the finals package, which includes both the semi-finals and final, from US$7,300.
