It was announced back in April, that tourists who frequent Abu Dhabi could apply for a five-year tourist visa.

Coming in from September, the new five-year multiple-entry tourist visa will grant tourists 90 days in the UAE without a sponsor.

Tourists who obtain the five-year multiple-entry visa will be able to stay in UAE for up to 180 days per year. Roll on several trips to the sunny city without any visa stress.

How do I apply for a UAE five-year multiple-entry visa?

In order to apply for this visa, you will have to do it via the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) website and mobile application or the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) website.

Which documents do I need to apply for the UAE five-year multiple-entry tourist visa?

The documents required to apply for a UAE multiple-entry tourist visa are:

  • Bank statement for the last six months to prove that you have a balance of USD 4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies
  • Proof of UAE health insurance
  • Photocopies of the front and last page of your passport
  • Recent coloured passport-sized photographs which you must take against a white background

Some applicants may also need to provide additional documents during their visa application, including:

  • A copy of your flight ticket
  • Proof of residence, such as an invitation letter from friends and family in the UAE
  • Hotel bookings or lease agreement
