Three days of Eid fireworks happening at Yas Bay

Get ready for concerts, events and a month of activities

Ready for Eid fireworks in Abu Dhabi? Yas Island has announced a spectacular line-up of fireworks, concerts, exciting events and live shows from Eid until the end of May. Are you ready?

You can ring in the Eid festivities with the night sky dressed in glittery fireworks for three days on the Eid weekend, every five minutes starting 9pm on Tuesday May 3 to Thursday May 5.

With so much on offer, there’s entertainment for everyone in the family. The concerts and performances will take place in Etihad Arena. Some events are ticketed, while others are free.

On Tuesday May 3, watch Amr Diab perform live. He is a Guinness World Record Holder, best-selling Middle Eastern Artist, seven-time winner of World Music Awards, and has also picked up many others.

On Wednesday May 4, you can watch Iraqi singer, composer and songwriter Kadim Al Saher live as part of layali Yas Concerts Series. He will perform some of his songs that have been at the top of the regional charts such as “Eid Alshaq”, “Koni Imraatan” and “Tanakothat”. With over 100 million albums sold and the highest-attended Arabic concert of all time, this is an Eid activity in Abu Dhabi that likely shouldn’t be missed.

It’s a double delight on May 4 because you can also listen to the melodious voice of Sherine Abdel Wahab, the star singer of Egypt and the larger Arab world.

For movie buffs, an exciting event is planned for Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards. If glitter, glamour and power-packed performances are your cup of tea, then the IIFA weekend is the place to be. Enjoy a weekend full of cinema and celebration, bringing together Bollywood with fashion, music and magical performances. There’s so much to do that it seems like planning a fun weekend for Eid this year will not be difficult.
