Abu Dhabi’s best restaurant & bar reviews this week

Where to eat & drink in Abu Dhabi this week, curated by Time Out Abu Dhabi editors

Time Out has once again been out and about this week tucking in to the best of the city’s restaurants, brunches and bars to keep our readers up to date with the best places to go and what to expect when you get there.
Here are the pick of the reviews we’ve put together this week. Get stuck in.

Grills”Chill’O

For many years Grills@Chill’O has been a popular bar and restaurant attracting people for a bite or some sundowners with views out to the Arabian Gulf.

Giving the place a spruce up and a new look, the venue recently underwent a renovation and we must say, from first impressions alone they’ve done a great job. Spread over two floors, overlooking the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche’s pool, the venue has been given a new breath of life – and that’s a good thing.

You can expect beautiful views of the ocean and a menu that features a range of different dishes from fresh seafood and signature grills to soups and mezze.
Open daily noon-1am (weekdays), noon-2am (weekends). Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, sofitelabudhabicorniche.com (02 813 7777). Read the full review here.

Jazz@Pizza Express

Now, we know what you’re thinking, Jazz@Pizza Express might not be the first place you’d think of when heading out for a drink, but there are plenty of reasons why the Abu Dhabi branch is well worth your time.

It boasts an awesome outdoor terrace that makes the most of the winter months and enjoys amazing views over downtown Abu Dhabi. We don’t know about you but we enjoy looking down on the city from a cool vantage point.

As far as cool settings go, this place is a real winner.
Sat-Wed 11.30am-midnight, Thu-Fri 11.30am-1am. The Hub, The Mall World Trade Center, Hamdan Street (02 444 7752). Read the full review here.

Market brunch at Saadiayt Rotana

You can tell a lot about a brunch by the amount of people in attendance and the atmosphere on the day.

Every time we’ve taken a trip to Saadiyat Island, to the Market Brunch at Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas, the brunch has been buzzing.

Everything is available and waiting for you at cooking stations indoors, and you can go up in your own time to choose exactly what you want.

There’s fresh seafood, sushi, a huge cheese selection, dim sum and curries, to grilled meats, desserts and much more. At the risk of rolling out a cliché, there’s something for everyone, even if you only eat oysters.

Fri 1pm-4pm. Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas, Saadiyat Island (02 697 0000).
