A new Apple store is coming to Abu Dhabi. The Apple Al Maryah Island store has been unveiled with a scenic location on the waterfront promenade. The grand opening is on Friday February 25 at 5pm.
The new Abu Dhabi Apple store is meant to be more than just a shop. The Apple Al Maryah Island store is pitched as a new gathering spot for learning, collaborating and coming together. With a location on the waterfront promenade, it’s well situated for drawing crowds.

The new Apple store will also like attract visitors thanks to its striking façade and specially designed barricade surrounding the storefront, which pays tribute to the pearls and pearl divers that represent much of Abu Dhabi – and the UAE’s – history.
The capital’s new shop will be the first of any Apple store to use absolute black granite stone — it features on the ramps with water features. Additionally, visitors entering from The Galleria Al Maryah Island will step through a mirrored stainless steel “portal” that highlights the water jets from exterior glass walls. Have your camera ready because there’s a 72-foot-long mirrored foil ceiling that creates kaleidoscopic effects, and reflects all of that falling water.
The new store will also feature exclusive Today at Apple sessions that draw inspiration from Abu Dhabi. They include a photo walk from local photographer Mohamed Somji, a music walk and an art walk.
Apple Al Maryah Island is located near many popular waterfront restaurants, including Zuma, LPM and Dai Pai Dong, and is footsteps from the Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Four Seasons Abu Dhabi.
