The Special Olympics descends on Abu Dhabi next year and an incredible amount of work is going into making it the biggest and best ever.
The next Special Olympics World Summer Games will take place in Abu Dhabi from March 14-21, 2019.
The Games will be the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world next year, with more than 7,000 Special Olympics athletes from over 170 countries set to participate.
But a sporting spectacle of that size doesn’t happen by magic, it needs a lot of extra pairs of hands.
You can do your bit by signing up this weekend to be a volunteer at a sign-up drive at Yas Mall this weekend.
Head down on Friday and Saturday for your chance to be part of something amazing.
This weekend will see performances from Emirati singer, Fayez Alsaeed, as well as a band made up of people with and without developmental disabilities and Zumba classes led by qualified tutor with determination.
