Abu Dhabi City Golf Club
An island of greenery and lakes in an ocean of skyscrapers, the oldest golf course in the UAE offers golfers one of the best golf rates for the summer in Abu Dhabi to crack a round of 18. The full card on a weekday morning (6am until 2pm) will set you back Dhs180. But if you’re saving your golf time for the weekend prices rise to Dhs240. Don’t fancy walking after the small dimpled golf ball in the soaring heat? A twilight round underneath the floodlights will see you have to fork out Dhs260 for any tee-off time after 2pm on “The People’s Golf Course”.

Abu Dhabi Golf Club
Think you can do better than Abu Dhabi HBSC Championship winner Tyrell Hatton? Well this summer, now’s your chance to have a swing at the pins the world’s best players took on in January. For a weekday morning round, expect to shell out Dhs375 for the privilege to walk the hallowed fairways. However, if you only have free time on a Friday or Saturday, be prepared to drop Dhs495. If that’s too spenny for you, mark yourself down for a twilight round where it’s Dhs225 and Dhs285 from Sunday to Thursday and the weekend respectively.

Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club
A social club for everyone in the Oasis City and not just those who enjoy swinging an odd club during the week, Al Ain Golf Club throws up an 18-hole championship golf course that would test even the best of scratch golfers. The back nine is fully lit, meaning golfers can play well after the sun has hung up its hat. You can sample the course’s charm during the week for Dhs230 and Dhs315 at the weekend. No time for the full 18? Shoot a nine-hole round for Dhs155 from Sunday to Thursday or Dhs220 on Friday and Saturday for one of the better value golf rates for the summer in Abu Dhabi.

Al Ghazal Golf Club
If you’re looking for a cheap golf rate for the summer in Abu Dhabi may we suggest this course? While it might not hold the same sway or illustriousness as its golfing neighbours, shooting a round of golf at Al Ghazal Golf Club will be anything but boring. A welcoming golf club for those who may not have mastered the basics (keep your eye on the ball), golfers can have very different experience of playing golf in the sand (and we ain’t talking about the bunkers). The daily green fees are Dhs220 but should you fancy only a quick nine, the price varies, with Dhs150 between Sunday and Thursday and Dhs180 at the weekend. And don’t forget about the driving range. Open until 11pm, you can whack a bucket of 50 balls for Dhs26.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club
With vistas of the white sands of Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi and the turquoise blue waters of the Gulf, this course would be one of the favourites to sink the most beautiful golf course title in Abu Dhabi. And if you want to play a round in these picturesque settings then you better be prepared to part with with Dhs 450 during the week or Dhs 580 on Fridays and Saturdays. Twilight rounds sees a significantly lower score of Dhs350 and Dhs475 for midweek and weekend rounds respectively, with a cheeky nine being available for Dhs310. But for the best prices, head to the website www.troonabudhabi.com where ‘dynamic pricing’ can help save money (but unfortunately not par) on one of the higher golf rates for the summer in Abu Dhabi.

Yas Links Abu Dhabi
Rolling fairways, the crashing waves against the shore and some lovely views of Yas Island, Yas Links Abu Dhabi is a site to behold (unless you’re stuck hacking your way out of some thick rough). For an opportunity to stride along the green lawns and take in a fresh sea breeze, rounds at the golf course during the summer will cost you and you’re mates Dhs450 for a midweek game, with weekend golf rates for the summer jumping to Dhs580.
