Abu Dhabi Warriors mixed martial arts championship returns to Abu Dhabi

The competition at Zayed Sports City will see 22 fighters from around the world go head to head

Violence is never the answer, but if you ask us whether we’re going to the Abu Dhabi Warriors, then the response will be a firm “yes”.

The fighting championship is back for the first time in two years, with 22 top fighters from around the globe battling it out across 11 rounds of MMA bouts.

The event will take place on Saturday January 26 at Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City, and some big names (and massive muscles) will be making their way to the capital to get in the thick of it.

The main event will pit Britain’s Strongest Man and UFC veteran, Oli Thompson against Team Nogueira Dubai’s Roman Wehbe.

The co-main event will see giant Chi Lewis-Parry – standing at 6’10” – with the fastest knock out in Glory’s history (25 sec) going head-to-head against Desert Force heavyweight champion Ibrahim El Sawi.

This edition will also feature a number of crowd favourites such as Ahmad Labban, who is famous for flamboyant and aggressive style fire, Palms Sports’ Flavio Serafin, a renowned jiu-jitsu world champion and Ronaldo Dy, an explosive UFC veteran.

The fight card features 22 fighters of 11 nationalities; including an Emirati, four Brazilians, two Brits, a Cameroonian, three Egyptians, two Filipinos, three Jordanians, three Lebanese, a Romanian, a Spaniard and a Sudanese fighter.
