The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon returns to the Corniche in November

The race is taking place ahead of the UAE Golden Jubilee and it will celebrate the nation’s achievements

The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is officially back. After missing 2020 due to COVID-19, the race returns on Friday November 26 along the iconic Abu Dhabi Corniche.

This is the third edition of the event and it’s an extra-special one because it takes place ahead of the UAE Golden Jubilee. In honour of the milestone occasion, the 2021 ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon will celebrate the nation’s journey and achievements. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is the title sponsor of the event.

The route highlights the very best of the UAE’s capital city, with runners passing by many of Abu Dhabi’s iconic landmarks including The UAE Flag, Emirates Heritage Village, Qasr Al Hosn and the Corniche, of course.

Not ready to run the full marathon route? There are options for runners of all levels, starting at 2.5km. Joggers can break a sweat with distances of 5km, 10km and a marathon relay for two runners.

Additionally, there are wheelchair races for the 10km and marathon distances.

Make it a team effort with the family 2.5km fun run. It promises to be a fantastic day out for children, super seniors and the rest of the family.

All participants receive an official Nike T-shirt and bespoke finishers medal – along with a healthy dose of accomplishment after pounding the pavement.

Worried your training isn’t up to speed? The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is welcoming people of all abilities to join the free weekly training sessions at Train Yas at 8pm on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
