Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala tennis championships are back for 2021

Dates for this winter’s World Tennis Championship have been announced

Excited for the return of live tennis tournaments in the capital? Well, the wait is over, the 13th edition of the people’s favourite Abu Dhabi sporting event Mubadala World Tennis Championship 2021 is back and locked in our diaries.

This three-day sporting event starts on Thurs-day December 16, through to Saturday December 18.

So when can we get our ticket? Now. Set to be held at Zayed Sports City’s International Tennis Centre in Abu Dhabi, front row seats as tickets are on sale now for the three-day event in December.

Tickets start at Dhs100 for adults and Dhs50 for kids, if you have budding Federers on your hands.

The tournament is set to host multi-time champions including six of the world’s top male tennis players, and two leading female players, all lining up to compete across three days of exciting tennis action. The annual Championship, which features eight of the world’s leading tennis stars, has brought us endless world-class entertainment to the UAE since 2009.

With the decision to postpone last year’s event, owners Flash Entertainment are promising 2021 is to be one of the best yet.

“Since its inception, the Mubadala World Tennis Championship has proven to be incredibly popular with people from Abu Dhabi and around the world, so to be able to announce its return, with fans in attendance, is a very special moment for us,” said John Lickrish, CEO, Flash Entertainment.

The stadium capacity will be reduced, and the team has made it accessible to international visitors after Abu Dhabi’s announcement to lift quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travellers from all countries.

Ticketholders 12 years or above must present their Green Pass on the Alhosn app, showing their fully vaccinated status as well as a negative PCR test result valid for no more than 48 hours to gain entry to the venue. Ticketholders under 12 years of age must show a negative PCR test result valid for no more than 48 hours. All fans will be required to wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing during the event.

Ready for an ace event? We can’t wait.
