Emirates Palace Spa tried and tested

Emirates Palace Spa wants to cater to the pace of your life by offering “pit stop” treatments to celebrate the F1

The promise
Depending on your hectic schedule, the Emirates Palace Spa wants to cater to the pace of your life by offering “pit stop” treatments to celebrate the F1. From 60-minute to 120-minute massages, you can mix and match 30-minute treatments aimed to get you back on track.

Step by step
We opt for a bespoke massage followed by a 30-minute facial: we’re still looking haggard after the Time Out Restaurant Awards.

Pleasantly relaxed, our therapist goes to work on our calves and quads, with special attention – as requested – on our neck and shoulders. The pressure is enough to make us wince, but it’s what our body needs.

We flip onto our back faster than an F1 tyre change and settle in for the home straight – the mini facial. And this is where we switch off our engine. Gentle scrubbing and rich creams rejuvenate our tired face, while a soothing head massage puts us to sleep. Our snoring, which has similar noise levels to an F1 engine, wakes us up. We’re slightly embarrassed, but now feel on pole position to finish the week strong.

The result
Energised, focused and ready for whatever is thrown at us.

Pros
A decent selection of massages and treatments to choose from, tailored to your needs.

Cons
It’s a shame it’s only for the month of November!
