Packed line-up of winter events at this Abu Dhabi park

Everything from movies to organic food stalls at Umm Al Emarat Park

Umm Al Emarat Park has announced a new schedule of events for the winter season.

From outdoor movies to organic food markets, there’s something for all ages to enjoy between now and early 2019.

Every weekend in October, the park’s Children’s Garden will screen family movies, ranging from classics to cartoons suitable for even the littlest members of the gang.

Saturday afternoons and evenings see the return of the Ripe Market, a brilliant event that has organic fruit and veg stalls, live entertainment, free fitness sessions, arts and craft workshops and independent boutique vendors. There will be more than 100 vendors over the course of the season and the market is held every Saturday from 3pm to 9pm.

Also on Saturdays there is the weekly free community walk and run iTrainSaturdays (which is presented by Daman Insurance). every Saturday from October 27. On November 17, the Mini Dash returns. A family fitness event that gives kids the chance to try a wide variety of sports and enjoy a friendly fun run.

Every month until March there will also be a free community walk, hosted by Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019. Each month there will be a bunch of different activities around Walk Unified, which will bring together  people of determination, their families, and the wider community.

When we get to February, ACTVET (Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training) will host a Health and Fitness Fun Festival.

Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) will present the award-winning interactive pavilion of The Christo & Jeanne-Claude Award in December as well as a series of performances for the Festival in the Park at the end of February.
