Huge island party is UAE’s first sustainable festival

Snoopy Beats 2019 to host world-renowned DJs, a recycling station and a bar made out of recycled material

Ready for one of the biggest beach music festivals in the UAE that wants you to party and save the world while doing it? Snoopy Beats is back, and it’s going completely eco-friendly.

Kicking off at Snoopy Island from Friday November 1 and Saturday November 2, expect a weekend of buzzing live DJ performances such as DJ Tennis, Jimi Jules, Caleesi along with Hoolz & Maks. Oh, and expect a few surprise acts, too.

This year’s theme is all about being a hero and saving Mother Nature by building sustainability, all to save UAE’s Snoopy Island and its natural beauty.

Keeping with the theme, all the bars will be made out of recycled materials, will be eco-friendly and offer sustainable mixed drinks, which means everything is re-used or recycled –from organic to plastic to aluminium waste.

The festival will also on be offering a steel cup and hanger at the entrance to all partygoers to reduce plastic waste. However, just in case you do lose your cup, plastic ones will be available, and will then be recycled.

Friday’s shindig from 5pm until 4am will be followed by a daytime beach party on Saturday from noon until 6pm. Get ready to slap on the sunblock.

Tickets start from Dhs189 and include a shuttle bus to and from Fujairah from Dubai. Get those tickets by heading to www.platinumlist.net.

More into saving the world with rock ‘n roll? Dubai is set to host the 100 percent environmentally sustainable rock concert ‘Rock the World-Save the Planet’, taking place at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Find out when it is right here.

The UAE is seeing many festivals go eco-friendly this year, with the Insomina Gaming Festival going single-use plastic-free, and Dubai Garden Glow using recycled materials.

Saving the world and partying at the same time? How could we say no?
