Ready to cook up a storm? Perfect timing – Time Out Abu Dhabi has teamed up with The Galleria Al Maryah Island for the return of Chef Studio, with free cooking classes set to kick off at the mall from Thursday May 13 in Central Kitchens, Level 3.

Running until Saturday May 22, the pop-up cookery school brings together chefs from some of The Galleria Al Maryah Island’s best-loved restaurants, in addition to a series of exciting product demonstrations and informative talks, as well as kid-centric classes to get the little ones involved.

Taking part in the programme are experts including Bombay Canteen’s chef Dilbar, who will teach participants the art of a superb Sri Lankan fish curry; LPM Restaurant & Bar’s chef Ravi, who will take aspiring cooks through seabass fillet with artichoke and tomato; chef Zouheir Ahmad from Karam Beirut Street Kitchen, who will conduct a class on traditional Lebanese oriental rice with chicken and gravy sauce; and Loca’s chef Juan Flores Nava, who will reveal the secrets to the Mexican eatery’s awesome beef tenderloin tacos.

And that’s just scratching the surface – you’ll find the full schedule below.

With each class able to accommodate only six participants, don’t delay in getting your name down as these spots will fill up fast.

We’re already eyeing 99 Sushi chefs Ruben Guerrero Simon and Marthinus Van Der Westhuizen’s katsu sando session on Thursday May 20, which will see the duo teach us all how to execute one of the definitive dishes of the past 12 months. Delicious.
