Fanzone at The Green

If you’re looking for alfresco World Cup screenings in Abu Dhabi, The Green is a good option. The Fanzone festival will include World Cup games shown on giant screens and a jam-packed entertainment schedule, best of all, the event is free. Early arrivals will also receive a free drink.

There will be onstage and roaming entertainment including drummers, mariachi bands, football freestylers and free face painting. There will also be 10,000 country hats given away and everyone is welcome to dress in their craziest fan costumes.

Football village at Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri

World Cup screenings

Remember the Ramadan Village at Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri? We’re expecting something just as wonderful for the World Cup 2022. There will be a carnival-like atmosphere at Plaza Beach at the hotel’s Football Village during the World Cup. You can also look forward to match break quizzes, beachside BBQ brunches, stand-up comedy competitions, and more.

Wondering how to get in? A day pass to the Football Village costs Dhs100 and that gets you two drinks and free beach access. You’ll also get a further 50 percent off on all beverages thereafter from 1pm to 5pm. There will be a resient DJ, lucky wheel and daily prizes such as buffet brunches, dim sum lunches and free drinks.

The Football Village at Shangi-La Qaryat Al Beri will also be hosting a barbeque brunch for Dhs268 including unlimited drinks. Enjoy brunch from your very own sunbed on Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.
