The tastiest desserts at Time Out Market Dubai

Prepare to have your socks blown off

If you’re partial to a parfait or a connoisseur of custard, then Time Out Market Dubai’s whirlwind of desserts is sure to whip you into a frenzy.

They say to save room for dessert, but as we’ve rounded up some treats which will blow your socks off. So why not cut to the chase and pile into the puddings first?

21 Grams’ festive Baklava (seasonal only)

If your sneakers are limited edition, then you’ve probably paid through the nose for them. Fortunately, the time-bound Baklava at 21 Grams clocks in at just Dhs40, which is a snip for the sweet flavours you can enjoy. Chocolate, hazelnut, sweet spices and a big old dollop of vanilla ice cream – whisper it quietly if the family is around, but it’s a million times better than nan’s Christmas cake.

Al Fanar’s legaimat

This classic Emirati legaimat, is a delicious golden-fried crispy dough ball. As per tradition, legaimat only contain six ingredients – flour, warm water, sugar, salt, yeast and saffron. Topped with date syrup or honey and a sprinkling of roasted sesame seeds, you’re getting an authentic taste of the nation.

Brix’s African Power House

Sometimes the simplest combinations are the best, especially when it comes to desserts. This Brix signature has a rich and deliciously smooth dark Ghanaian ganache, sprinkled with chocolate powder and paired with vanilla ice cream on a crumbly biscuit base. You will not go wrong ordering this epic explosion of flavour.

Brix’s karak ice cream

This is no same-same supermarket chiller ice cream. Say hello to my little frozen friend, Brix’s dreamy karak ice cream. Packed full of butter scotch, cardamom foam and black tea crumb, it redefines what cold dessert should be.

Folly’s ice Christmas pudding parfait (seasonal only)

Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh, through Time Out Market we go, gorging on parfait. Folly serves up a festive season stunner with its ice Christmas pudding parfait, topped with moreish toffee crumble.

Liban by Allo Beirut’s saj chocoba

This dessert is a wrapped, crepe-like saj, containing lashings of chocolate Nutella and slices of banana. Be warned, there’s a tendency for this one to end up covering your entire face as you eat it, so be sure to stock up on some face wipes.

Little Erth’s Carrot Cake

This is a reimagining of carrot cake like you’ve never seen before. Elegantly presented with a base of walnut, carrot and date, topped with vanilla cashew cream and pistachio sprinkle, this is nothing like the bake-sale versions of carrot cake. You can also choose to add a scoop of vegan ice cream for a little extra indulgence.

Little Erth’s Chocolate chia mousse cake

It’s perhaps an honest mistake to think ‘raw vegan pudding’ and assume it’s not going to be the most riveting of menu options. How wrong can you be, when Little Erth’s vegan wonder brings together a chocolatey base of walnut, date and cacao, combined with chocolate chia seed pudding and topped with coconut flakes. Lock us up Judge Judy, because we are guilty of enjoying this one way too much.

Nightjar’s Custard pie

If you’re a regular at Nightjar’s hotspot in Alserkal Avenue, then you might be familiar with this super tasty dish. With a crisp outer pastry base, baked custard and sprinkles of nutmeg, and a spoonful of whipped cream, it’s an instant classic. As opposed to the custard pies flung around in old slapstick movies, nobody is going to be wanting to waste a morsel of this dessert.
Dhs30.

Nightjar’s Basque Cheesecake

With a rich, dark crust, this creamy, airy dessert isn’t quite like other cheesecakes. Hailing from the Basque region, this recipe has simple ingredients but produces mega culinary results. Fluffy cream cheese is enveloped into a blackened, caramalised crust – it’s a cheesecake but with a difference.

Nightjar’s Dark chocolate brownie

There’s a certain texture that sets apart a good brownie from a great one – that soft, rich, chocolatey interior with a thin top layer of crispness. Plonk a scoop of ice cream on top and it’s game-over for other desserts.

Pickl’s S’more ice cream sando (seasonal only)

Whether it’s the memory of old scout trips, or camping adventures with the family, there’s something very satisfying about a s’more. But then we wouldn’t expect the creative minds at Pickl to just do the ordinary – instead they’ve combined classic s’more ingredients such as blazed marshmallow, with a fried cinnamon bun, chocolate ice cream and valrhona chocolate. No need to pack your sleeping bag, Time Out Market Dubai has you covered.

Scoopi’s Banana fosters

This dessert is highly customizable, with a range of toppings, cones and sauces available. Banana fosters includes banana, vanilla ice cream, and a rich sauce of butter, cinnamon and sugar. Step away from the spoon, we won’t be splitting this one.

Scoopi’s charcoal ice cream with edible gold

Let’s get a little extra – it’s what you expect from a Dubai dessert. This signature Scoopi dessert includes activated charcoal ice cream with 23-carat gold leaf. The team spent months perfecting it, and they’ve pushed the boundaries by utilising these unique flavours. It’s extravagant, it’s over the top, it’s unmissable.
Dhs99.

Scoopi’s waffles (varying flavours)

There are four Scoopi waffle options to choose from – Nutella and strawberry, Kinder, Oreo and Belgian waffle. Whichever one you go for, expect fluffy crispy waffle, with generous helpings of topping. Just don’t judge us when we go back for another one…
