Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways launches new credit programme

Have your travel plans been disrupted?

Travel plans have been disrupted in recent times due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Flights have now been suspended for two weeks in and out of the UAE for at least two weeks.

In response the recent travel disruption, Etihad Airways has launched a new programme to help customers to rearrange their plans.

Etihad Credit will give guests the option to delay their travel plans and get a free cancellation to the value of their original flight to use towards their next trip.

“In these unprecedented times, we understand that some of our guests are either unable to, or choose not to travel and it is our responsibility to help them as much as possible,” said Robin Kamark, CCO, Etihad Aviation Group.

“Now, more than ever, there is a global effort to care for one another and halt the spread of COVID-19 and under these challenging circumstances. Etihad Credit is our way of helping to relieve some of the unnecessary burden many of our customers are facing.

“The safety of our loyal customers, and of our employees continues to be our utmost priority, and we are taking the necessary steps to ensure their wellbeing,”

Etihad Credit will be available to all passengers scheduled to travel with the airline before June 20, 2020.

Passengers have until September 30, 2020, to rebook their flight for travel until the end of the year.

Any fare difference from the original flight will be charged.
