All residents and citizens of the UAE can now travel to any destinations, as long as health and safety measures are met.
On July 1, the UAE government said there would only be seven reasons people could travel outside of the country.
However, on Friday July 3, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Emergency Authority (NCEMA), the Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship (ICA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) said that was no longer the case.
The news was announced on the NCEMA’s official Twitter account.
The #UAE, represented by #NCEMA, @icauae and @MOFAICUAE, announces that all citizens and residents are now able to travel, in accordance with the health requirements currently enforced within airports and in accordance with the destinationsâ regulations.

In the announcement, the NCEMA says all travel is allowed as long as the health and safety requirements in airports are adhered to and the destination’s regulations allow.
The tweets go on to say that all citizens must register with the Tawajudi system and have a COVID-19 test before travel.
When residents return they must have followed all of the UAE’s travel regulations and procedures and have had a COVID-19 test before returning (if flying from countries where labs are available).
Those over 70 are advised not to travel.
