Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways launches COVID-19 home testing for passengers

Travellers can get a test at home before departing

Etihad Airways has partnered with Mediclinic Middle East to launch home testing for passengers travelling overseas.

Some worldwide destinations require travellers to undergo testing for COVID-19 before departure.

All travellers with booked flights are encouraged to check the Etihad website to check the requirements of the destination they are travelling to.

If a COVID-19 test is required before departure or if passengers need to enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi from other emirates homes testing can be organised for all booked travellers.

Test results will be given with 24 hours of undertaking a test but all travellers are advised to book their test at least 48 hours before departure.

To book a home test passengers must contact Mediclinic by visiting www.mediclinic.ae or calling 800 2022.

The new service has been launched to help make travel easier for those travelling with Etihad from Abu Dhabi Airport.

Etihad has also recently launched a risk-assessment form on the website and a ‘fit to fly’ technology to keep all passengers safe.
