New Etihad direct flights to Crete from Abu Dhabi 2022

Last summer it seemed like the whole of Abu Dhabi was in Greece and with these new Etihad flights to Crete, we’re sure summer 2022 will be more of the same. Crete is the largest island in Greece and is best known for its ancient ruins, buzzing cities and beautiful beaches.

Etihad will start its new routes to Crete from Wednesday June 15. New direct Etihad flights to Crete will go from Abu Dhabi to Heraklion, the island’s capital, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Greece is one of the easiest places to travel to from the UAE, since fully vaccinated passengers travelling from certain countries (including the UAE) can travel without a negative PCR test. You just need to complete a passenger locator form to travel, however, you may be randomly selected for testing at the airport.

Aside from its flights from Abu Dhabi to Greece, Etihad is also relaunching its flights to Zanzibar, Santorini and Malaga in June. There will be two weekly flights to Malaga starting from Wednesday June 15.

Headed to Santorini? Etihad is also launching three weekly flights to the stunning island from Thursday June 16. You can also fly with Etihad to Zanzibar starting Friday June 17 with three weekly flights.
