If you’re heading out of the emirate to get a bit of a break from it all this summer, then one of the top hotels in Ras Al Khaimah has announced a bonus to get you out on to the fairways this summer.
Al Hamra Golf Club, found in the middle of the emirate and with a stunning view of the Jebel Jais mountain range, has just announced a brilliant deal that’s set to get all of the region’s golfers ready to swing.
The par-72 championship golf course is offering a discounted rate of Dhs99 for nine holes throughout summer, which is pretty much the maximum amount of time we could spend playing golf as the temperatures soar. The deal is valid before 9am, which is pretty much the latest you’d want to start playing anyway.
If, however, you fancy getting in a full 18 and are yet to experience summertime golfing in the UAE, we’d strongly recommend heading out as early as you can to avoid the heat – we’d advise teeing off no later than 7.30am ideally. Slap on the factor 50, and take a lot of rehydration sachets and or tablets to make sure you don’t get hit by dehydration (obviously, you’ll sweat a lot, and you’ll need salts and electrolytes to combat its draining effects) – and finally, spend as little time in the sun as possible to conserve your energy.
Once you’re off the course the golf club has also got some cracking deals on food and drink – where you’ll be able to get house drinks from just Dhs15 (that’s not a typo), and main courses from Dhs30.
